Logos I hate and love

So, of all the logos I can think of off the top of my head, I would have to say I love the Nike logo. It's so simple and does not have letters, yet I think that's why it sticks. It is black or white, depending on what it is on. Also, I love the motto that goes with it- "Just do it." I think the background behind the logo is awesome, too. My favorite statue is actually Nike of Samothrace. She is the goddess of victory. That concept of victory supports the athletic apparel, etc. that Nike creates.

Another logo I love is the Roxy logo. It is a feminine version of the guy logo Quicksilver. I agree that it is feminine. It's sort of a heart shape. Once again, I love the fact that it's a symbol and not just font. I think it also does an awesome job of conveying the soulful and spiritual vibe the company is about. I like it also because it can be any color or print. The logo is about the symbol's shape and not to color.

One logo I actually like that is font is the Brittany Spears fairy logo. I think it's really neat and personal. I like how the fairy wings makes up the letter B. However, I can't seem to find a picture of it.

I love the polo logo with the silhouette of the polo player. It's pretty original, but now Abercrombie has a moose, Hollister has a bird, Lacoste has an alligator, and Express has a lion. So, I think the idea is getting extremely overused.
Another silhouette logo that I like is the NBA logo. I also like it's two-toned background. I think silhouette logos are good if they can represent something core to a company that's not going to change with time.
Lastly, the mozilla firefox logo really stands out to me. It's really inventive and catches your eye. It also is really cool because it morphs the fox and fire. The colors are really complementary, too.
Logos I dislike are ones that are just mundane fonts or ones that don't have anything clever or original to them. A lot of insurance logos are really boring and uncreative. I cannot think of a specific logo I just despise, but I'm sure there are some out there.
